WINERY PAGE
Wine
Notes
As a small winery
we don't crush our own grapes. The pictures below are our grapes
being crushed under contract at a larger winery. However all of
our wine is 100% from grapes grown by us, unlike many small boutique
wineries. For your interest we have included a few answers to the
most commonly asked questions by visitors to our cellar door.
-
All
of our reds are matured / fermented in wood / oak. Chardonnay
is the main white wine matured / fermented in wood. Semillon
sometimes has a little wood added.
-
The order of tasting
is dry to sweet. (Dry whites, dry reds, sweet whites, sweet
reds.)
-
If travelling
with red wines ensure you leave them completely still for approximately
one month (depending on type and length of travel) prior to
drinking. This will restore and settle the flavours to their
original state.
-
Wine production
turnaround after picking the grapes is about 18 months before
you have a bottle of wine.
